The Chupacabra also known as the goat sucker is an animal said to be an unknown species that roams at night killing animals in areas like Puerto Rico, Miami, Chile and Mexico. The creature’s name originated with the discovery of some dead goats that were found in Puero Rico with puncture wounds in their necks and the blood drained from them.
According to UFO Magazine there have been more than 2,000 reported cases of animal mutilations in Puerto Rico that are connected to the Chupacabra. Many reported sightings describe the creature as being 4 to 5 foot tall looking somewhat like a reptile with spikes running down it’s spine. It has been said that the creature walks up right on it hind legs and has 3 very sharp claws on two short arms.
Many people have compared the Chupacabra to a small dinosaur. The head shape is said to resemble the typical ‘grey’ alien head. The creature has also been described to have long fangs and glowing red eyes.
The first eyewitness, Madelyne Tolentino, a Puerto Rican lady, was interviewed by her local newspaper. She stated that the creature looked something like a creature from the famous movie Species. While the Puerto Rican police concluded that the attacks on the animals must have come from a pack of stray dogs, there have been hundreds of other attacks resembling the same nature.
Many people believe that the Chupacabra is some sort Alien/Animal hybrid with traits of a Vampire. According to Legends in Mexico, some of the natives in Mexico believe that the Chupacabra was engineered by the American government as an experiment that went bad. While the US government has went on recording stating they have no association with the Chupacapra and that it’s all a mythical legend, believers of the Chupacabra think that it is all a huge government conspiracy.
Other theories surrounding the Chupacabra are listed below:
The Alien theory – There are 2 different theories on this matter. Some believe that the Chupacabra is an alien weapon being tested on planet Earth. The second theory suggest it might be a pet or companion to an alien visitor.
The Time Travel Theory – Some think that the Chupacabra is a future human that has returned to our time to warn us against genetic mutation.
The Wildlife Theory – This theory states that the Chupacabra is nothing more than local wildlife with some type of mange or skin condition.
The Vampire Theory – At the first sightings, some thought that the Chupacabra was a vampire. The fact that these creatures only appear to hunt at night helped to support this theory.
There really is no scientific evidence supporting that the Chupacabra exists, however there is no proof that the creature doesn’t exist either. Famous mythical legends such as Bigfoot and the Loch Ness monster have paved the way over the years for believers of the paranormal and cryptozoology to question these types of creature’s existence.
